Terms & conditions

General - by submitting any model order form within the RCairliners.com (EDFmodel.com) website or the purchase of a model you are accepting EDFmodel.coms terms & conditions of sale.

Payment terms

All prices are in Australian dollars. Payment in Australian dollars is requested via Bank transfer of funds or Western Union money transfer. In some cases credit cards using PayPal are accepted. For security reasons will only accept PayPal orders from known individuals or verified PayPal users. We do not accept orders from public email addresses. Orders will not be shipped until confirmation of full payment has been received.

Design All models supplied by EDFmodel.com are "work-in-progress" models. For this reason EDFmodel reserves the right to alter design specifications without notice.

Ordering Models are hand custom made to order. Orders for models have to be placed in advance to reserve time on the production line. A 20% deposit is requested with each order.
Airliners are assembled in the same order as the requests are received. RCairliner.com reserves the right to alter delivery dates if unforeseen issues arise. In this case you will be informed of changes. Once your order is accepted the payment is confirmed with you and the expected shipping date. We only accept orders for the listed hardware with the purchase of a model. EDFmodel purchases in hardware on an 'individual model order' basis, from local suppliers. If a supplier does not have current stock of an item then you will be informed of a delivery date (which may be different from the model shipping date). EDFmodel reserves the right to refuse to accept or supply any order if for any reason we believe the model is not suitable for the modeller.

Shipping EDFmodel.com is located in Queensland Australia. Shipping to the US and most other countries is efficient by Australia Post's Express Post International service or Express Courier International. Both provides priority handling, basic tracking, insurance and a signature on delivery. It offers reliable delivery within 3 to 7 business days. Two boxes shipped of dimensions 104L x 36W x 33H cm and 104L x 43W x 17H cm. The above Express service is not available in all countries. EDFmodel.com reserves the right to refuse to ship goods if possible security problems are deemed to exist.

Kit return Returning a kit is an expensive exercise because of the shipping expense in both directions and the re-stocking fee associated with a return. For whatever reason should you find yourself wishing to return a kit, then it is suggested re-selling on eBay is the best way of obtaining a return.Kit returns will be accepted within a 30 day period of receipt of goods. Before any goods are returned permission must be obtained from EDFmodel. Goods must be returned in original condition at the purchasers expense.A 25% re-stocking fee will apply to all orders. This re-stocking fee comes about because upon return the kit has to be 100% broken down into its parts and re-packed from scratch. All the packing material has to be replaced.Boxes must be air freighted back using the same service as we shipped the kit boxes to you. Specifically, Express Courier International, insured to the kits value with internet track and trace. Any other service is not acceptable. Any charges associated with any custom tax duties upon arrival back to us will be charged. All risks associated with the kits return are assumed by the customer to the full cost of the kit.Any parts within the kit that can not be re-used in the assembly of a new re-packaged kit that have been damaged in shipment will be charged. Kit components must be packed precisely as we have packed them or it is likely they all will become damaged.

Order cancellation. Every model is custom built. Once time has been reserved on the production line RCairliner.com will not accept the cancellation of the order. No refunds will be provided for any deposits. Any deposits paid represent the cost of the production schedule time. All responsibility is the care of the customer. RCairliner will not negotiate for the re-sale of any partially completed model on a customers behalf. Any model who's final balance payment has not been made after 45 days notice will be deemed abandoned and will be deposed of to recover costs. RCairliner will not enter into any negotiations on these cancellation terms.

Hardware return Hardware such as motors, controllers and fans are purchased on an individual basis for each model order. EDFmodel does not accept returns on hardware purchased as frequently our suppliers will not accept returns.

Legal Australian Law & jurisdiction this EDFmodel.com service operates from Australia. Your purchase of product from EDFmodel.com is governed by Australian law and these terms and conditions are governed by and will be interpreted according to Australian law. You expressly submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Australian legal system, inside Australia.

EDFmodel is committed to protecting your privacy. EDFmodel will not provide any personally identifying information about you to any third party. Spam email is something we aggressively oppose.
