EDFmodel
specialises in the
design of electric ducted fan model airliners.
The airliner kits are manufactured in
limited numbers before going out of production.
Step #1 - Are
our airliners for you?
Consider carefully if our airliners are suited
to you.
The
airliners are technical models with many parts. The construction
methodology is unique in the modelling industry. They
are designed for the serious modeller with a little
advanced knowledge. Construction is a solid project which will keep
you busy.
If you have a real passion for
airliners, consider yourself a bit of an innovative engineer able to think your
way through the project, have the modellering and flying skills, then
our airliners may be for you.
If
your only experience is building ARTF kits you probably should not
consider our airliners. This is not a sunday park fly project. Construction article
There have been one or two modellers who have ventured past what
has been designed and truly expanded the thinking producing models that are
out-standing. Such examples may be seen with the out-of-production 301,303 & 305
models.
You need to consider yourself this type of
engineer.
Other
examples of successfully built airliners. These may be seen here
If
you feel you fit this category of modeller then you
are welcome.
Step #2 - Understand kit
costs

costs are displayed in Australian dollars inclusive of world wide
shipping.

Step #3 - Understand
hardware costs
The airliner kits do not include any
hardware.
Major
hardware required to be purchased
other than fans, controllers & motors
includes batteries, servos and the retractable U/C. We do not supply this
hardware. Search for your local supplier on-line. EDFmodel purchases in hardware we
can supply (fans, controllers & motors) on an 'individual model order'
basis from local suppliers. If a supplier does not have current stock of
an item then you will be informed of a delivery date, which may be
different from the model shipping date.
Step #4 – Ordering
Kits
are custom assembled to order taking up to 2-3 weeks to complete. Once your
order is accepted the payment is confirmed with you and the expected
shipping date.
Payment in Australian dollars is requested via credit cards with PayPal, Bank transfer of funds or Western
Union money transfer. For security reasons will only accept PayPal
